Finding out we were pregnant was the highlight of February 2016 for Josh and I. The next week was a whirlwind of joining mama groups, asking my friends about cloth diapering, ordering my Earth Angel Mama Baby Mama-to-Be kit, downloading baby apps, searching for the organic version of everything, calling the birth center for our first appointment and ultrasound… after all of this, I soon discovered I was what some would deem a future “crunchy mama.” To me, I’m just extending my personal organic and eco-friendly lifestyle to my child. In the same way that I can’t be 100% natural in everything that I do, I know that I won’t be able to be 100% natural for Baby. That doesn’t deter me from being as natural as possible, though. It never will.
There will always be the minimalist mamas that tell you a million things that exist that are useless; I’m pretty minimal (we’re not finding out the gender, so I’m glad that will reduce of the gender specific clothes clutter), but I’m a first time mama, so I’ll be registering for the things I believe I need. In a year or two, I’ll be able to update you all on what all worked the best, and what all I recommend the most. Until then, let’s enjoy the first time mama registry bliss!
I use BabyList to create my registry because you can add any item from any shop anywhere in the world. You can also register for items that are not gift, such as help and meals from friends, and even gift cards from specific stores. Here is an example registry created just for this post!
Earth Mama Angel Baby Products
Phillips Avent Natural Glass Bottles
Tubby Todd - Organic Bath Products
Which of these products will you add to your registry? What natural products do you want to use and learn about that aren’t on the list? If you’re wondering if “natural” is for you, there’s nothing to it but to try it. I hope you’ll see that it is for you, and it benefits you, your baby and the whole world around you.
xoxo, mamas, papas & tiny human caregivers!
